Character based text talks
"During the session, we will outline the process for selecting character-based texts that are shared monthly with teachers and students by the leadership team. The session will include book selection, text talk lesson planning, sample lesson via video, and testimony to the process. This process benefits learners academically by highlighting Tier 2 vocabulary in the text, as well as, focuses on core values. These texts assist with creating common language across the campus and are also mentor texts to support reading and writing instruction. We will have an instructional coach and campus administrator presenting to share their personal testimony and perspective of the process. This session is for teachers, administrators and counselors who want to learn about Character-based Text Talks and how to utilize them on your campus."
