Educators move at a thousand miles an hour every day. Take the time to get your mind right in this workplace meditation and light yoga session made for all skill levels. Come in to calibrate your mind, body, and soul as we attempt to better the world around us each day.  Participants will engage in healthy practices that will allow their mind, body, and soul to relax and focus on the positives in their work life and beyond. A healthy discussion will allow teachers to utilize this session in their class, office, or home to bring their students to clearer and healthier mindset. Participants will walk out of the session with a renewed energy and clear head for the future.

Better understand what happens when a student receives a concussion. 2. Understand the concussion law that governs Texas. 2. Know the signs and symptoms of a concussion. 3. Participants will learn how to test their own pH level and be able to describe the affects of an acidic and alkaline environment. Be able to identify foods that may contribute to a healthy pH level. Recognize ingredients in products that may contribute to health risks. Understand how to make adjustments to your eating lifestyle for your advantage.

YES Club: Yoga Empowering Students
This class will inform the learner on how the YES Club started at Weber Elementary. Yoga breathing, poses and their benefits will be discussed and practiced. The first 30 minutes of class will be based on the benefits of yoga in the schools. The second part of class is an hour of yoga that will enable the participants to practice the depth and breath of yoga poses and breathing. The final minutes of class will allow for a savasana meditation.  Participants will learn how yoga assists students in using breath and poses to minimize stress and find mindfulness in the school setting. The participants will practice yoga and use breath to meditate. The practice will allow the participant to experience yoga at any skill level.

American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED
Certify and train participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitations (CPR). As well as the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Describe the importance of CPR and its impact on survival. Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR. Perform CPR (adult, child, infant). How to use and AED. Provide effective ventilation by using barrier devices. Participants will receive a certification card for BLS lasting 2 years before having to renew.

With the stress that students and teachers endure everyday, it is important to focus on mental health.
-Guided Meditation can wipe away the day's stress, bringing with it inner peace. See how you can easily learn to practice meditation whenever you need it most. Guided Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health.
-One of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind. See how simple, beginner poses can help relax the mind; create mental clarity and calmness; increase body awareness; relieve chronic stress patterns; center attention; and sharpen concentration.

Participants will practice guided meditation and simple yoga poses to understand the benefits in relation to mental health wellness.

What does ADHD look like and how do you know if your student has this. What can be said or done to get the student the help he or she needs. Does it mean that the student needs medication or alternative strategies? What are teachers allowed to say, request or do if one suspects the child has ADHD? What medications are out there? This session will also provide tips for overcoming the obstacles. Food Allergies
"Food allergies are so common that on an average there are at least two kids per class with a food allergy. An individual with a life threatening food allergy may only have seconds and sometimes minutes to get the medical treatment they need to save their life. In this course you will learn about the most common food allergies, how to treat a student if they have a reaction and how to identify when someone is having a food allergy reaction. Having a food allergy doesn't mean that your classroom can not conduct normal activities or parties. Participants will learn strategies on how to keep all students safe.
