CCISD Grow 360 Professional Learning Day

I am a previous child welfare social worker that has experienced the effects of trauma on students first hand. I have trained foster and adoptive families on the topic of Trauma Informed Care, and I owe it to my previous foster kiddos and families to spread trauma awareness. Participants will be informed of the definition of childhood trauma, some of the common causes, the effects trauma can have on the brain and learning,and how to implement classroom strategies to help those that may be suffering from trauma.
