Gimkit is an online formative assessment tool that was created by students who were bored with the traditional online quiz game. This game allows teachers and students to create personalized "kits" that align directly with instruction. During actual game play, students strive to collect the most money while buying upgrades that require some strategy such as question insurance, double ups and pie a neighbor. Students can play individually, as teams and class against class. Students have also used this program to demonstrated mastery by creating their own kits for each other at the end of a unit.
