This session is for secondary science and math teachers. Cross-curriculum planning can be a challenge, especially in different subject areas. Once you identify the mathematical concepts needed for your science classroom and observe and learn how they are taught in the math classroom, you have the potential to increase student engagement and comprehension by incorporating these same techniques and skills in your lessons. This session models how to collaborate between a science (Chemistry) and math course and provides you the opportunity to examine your TEKS and identify who you should work with on your campus or maybe even during this session! "Participants will view a model of cross-curricular collaboration. Participants will examine TEKS to identify cross-curricular concepts. Participants will identify who to work with on their campus/during the session."
