Ever wonder how to authentically build relationships and develop character at the high school level? What are some ways to truly “know” your students? Come to this session where participants will experience relationship building instructional strategies through the lens of the student. Relationship building instructional strategies include: door greetings, temperature checks, supported student conversations, and confidence trackers. Participants will engage in three levels of these strategies and a reflective conversation about it felt to be a student in a classroom structured in this way. Participants will need devices. "-The participants will experience relationship building instructional strategies for different skill levels of implementation. -The participants will review a repository of resources for implementing these instructional strategies in their own classrooms. -The participants will leave having made a plan for implementing one or more of these strategies with their students.
