"All content areas and grade levels benefit when students are able to effectively read texts related to instruction. These texts are increasingly read digitally, as textbooks, articles, and other sources move to learning management systems. However, recent research revealed that digital reading and paper-based reading require different skill-sets, mindsets, and habits. This difference occurs with readers of ALL AGES and generations.  Thus, explicit instruction of digital-reading, other digital literacy skills, is necessary. In this session, we will identify some of the challenges of digital reading, supported by published research. We will also explore some potential solutions to these challenges, and how to include these in your instruction, regardless of content or grade-level. Leave with more things to wonder and notice about your students' digital reading, as you continue to improve instructional practices." "-identify several challenges of digital reading, as revealed by research -apply effective digital reading habits to think critically across multiple, digital texts -explore ways to explicitly support students' development of effective, digital reading habits "
